For someone who’s an advocate of CBD, trying different product lines is definitely exciting. Prior to venturing into water-soluble CBD, I’ve been lucky enough to sample many different hemp-derived and marijuana-derived CBD products. I had great experiences in trying topical products in addition to tinctures, vape pens, gummies, and isolates. My favorite way of consuming CBD prior to trying tea was either the tincture or vape pen. I found the flavors of the vape pen to be really enjoyable and liked that the tincture was concentrated with a more natural earthy flavor. CBD tea testing has been a very interesting experience and has definitely transformed the way I like to take CBD.

Cadence CBD’s First Tea Taste Test

The first tea leaf flavor we experimented with was peppermint. Peppermint is such a soothing, relaxing flavor and is inherently well-suited for the therapeutic benefits of CBD. Based on my experience with CBD tinctures and isolates, I assumed that water-soluble CBD would have a similar flavor. Turns out, this is not the case! Water-soluble CBD actually has a mildly bitter flavor and adds a milky quality to the cup of tea. I was surprised by the difference in flavors between tincture, isolate, and water-soluble. CBD isolate had no detectable flavor which I thought water-soluble would be closest to.

Our Experience with Peppermint Tea and Water-Soluble CBD

We tried the tea with one satchel of peppermint tea leaves in addition to 10mg of water-soluble CBD. The peppermint tea leaves, unfortunately, didn’t mask the bitterness. I tried the peppermint tea right after my nighttime gym session and felt immediately relaxed and my muscles no longer felt fatigued! I definitely didn’t feel this potent of an effect with other CBD products. The decaf option offered from the peppermint tea was perfect for bedtime and put me right to sleep! The journey to find the right flavors that compliment this highly effective water-soluble CBD has just begun!
